Hotel Information for the Wedding Weekend
Marriott Hotel: The wedding and reception will be held here. A block of rooms has
been reserved for guests who wish to stay there under Fendell-Crawford Wedding. The Marriott Hotel is one
of the nicest in the country and offers 5 star ammenities.
Update:[ To reserve rooms within the block, call 1-888-813-2776 and reserve rooms under
the Fendell-Crawford Wedding Group. Cut off date for these reservations is JULY 4, 2007. We have heard of some problems calling before 10 am EST, but after 10 am has worked out well for those who have reserved so far. If you run into any problems, please let us know.]
Other hotels we suggest
for the wedding weekend are:
Courtyard by Marriott: Fifeteen minutes from the wedding
venue. It is in the same complex as many restaurants and accross the street from a
large mall with a grocery store.
Quality Hotel Real San Jose: Ten minutes from the
wedding venue. This hotel is near the bride's childhood home and there is a restaurant
downstairs that serves traditional Costa Rican fare.
Apartotel Villas del Río: This
apartment style hotel has suites and apartments that can sleep from 3-6 people and can
be rented out for a single night or a whole week or more. They all come with a fully
equipped kitchen and a small grocery store and laundry facilities are located on site.It is located in Escazú, a twenty minute drive
from the wedding venue and in the town that Rebecca went to school.Escazú has many restaurants,
night spots, and shopping centers.
There are many other hotels and bed & breakfasts in the Escazú and Santa Anna area. If you
decide to stay at a different location, let us know and we'll give you the scoop on it if we
can! |

Hotels throughout Costa Rica
If you plan on taking trips throughout the country, we have a few suggestions for hotels that we have
stayed at in the past or come higly recommended by friends and family. These hotels are located
in the places we have suggested under the What to Do page of the website. By no means is this list extensive, if these
don't strike your fancy, look for other suggestions on some of the websites refered to on the What to Do page.
El Sapo Dorado: Monteverde Cloud Forest. This quaint hotel is located right in the heart of
the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Rooms are clean and neat, the food is good and the rates are reasonable.
Los Lagos Hotel: Arenal
Volcano. This hotel boasts great views of the active volcano (although it is often shrouded in clouds
during the rainy season). The pools are all fresh-water and fed by the natrually heated thermal
springs that run through the area. The pool also has a swim-up bar and water slides. The restaurant
is excellent and the friendly staff can assist you with booking day trips. Despite the cheesy website,
the hotel is great!
Lost Iguana Resort: Arenal Volcano. The newest luxury
resort in the area. We've never stayed there, but it comes highly recommended from friends. The prices are high unless you go in on a
cabin with a large group of people. From what we've heard, the views are great and the food is even better. The website has a helpful
tips page with ideas on traveling in Costa Rica.
Hotel Costa Verde:Manuel Antonio Beach
With a slogan like "still more monkeys than people," you're sure to get your fair share of monkey sightings. Stay in the Costa Verde II
and get unspoiled views of the incredible beach just steps away and stay in studio apartments. Alternatively, stay in their regular rooms
and enjoy proximity to the beach and the great restaurant. Don't leave your drink out for too long or the monkeys will come and get it
and you don't want drunk monkeys around!Si Como No: Manuel Antonio Beach. A full service
resort and spa for those seeking luxery travel. They have deals during the rainy season and this place can be worth the splurge!
